We're looking for a highly experienced, versatile, and hardworking Hardware Finance & Accounting Professional (manager, senior manager, controller) to work collaboratively with our finance and hardware teams. This role will be responsible for the business and finance & accounting aspects of our hardware business:

    •Lead forecasting for the hardware products’ life cycle and also on a monthly basis to send to our contract manufacturers
    •Issue monthly purchase orders based on our forecast to contract manufacturers and ensure the build is consistent with our forecast
    •Monitor actual demand against forecast for hardware business, assessing performance and inventory levels, and raising options to the team to align trajectory/course-correct, if necessary
    •Analyze hardware product costs for end-consumer, retailer/distributor pricing for product life cycle, and participate in the decision-making
    •Analyze sales promotions and discounts to run during the product life cycle, including forecasting volumes related to these events, evaluate performance and learnings for future events, and participate in the decision-making
    •Participate in discussions concerning evaluating expansion of hardware into additional countries and new sales channels
      oAssist with implementation of finance responsibilities, as needed
    •Lead and work on hardware cost accounting, invoicing, inventory tracking and related reconciliations, etc.
    •Address ad hoc needs as they arise
    •Continue to streamline processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness
    •Assist in department planning, as needed / tasks evolve
    •Cross-train with other team members

    •Business Degree, with major in accounting preferred
    •Public accounting experience preferred
    •CPA preferred
    •7+ years of experience in business functions
      oMinimum of 5 years in accounting/finance functions required
      oMinimum of 3 years in distribution of physical goods preferred, preferably in consumer electronics
    •Intermediate skills in Excel and accounting software
    •High level of attention to detail and accuracy
    •Ability to identify issues, research and escalate when necessary
    •Ability to see “forest” in addition to the “trees”
    •Flexibility, passion and drive in making functions/processes better
    •Curiosity and willingness to take on new tasks/projects
    •Self-starter, ability to work independently (ability to manage own time and tasks without oversight) and be collaborative in working with others (focus on succeeding as a team / company, not an individual)
    •Strong communication and problem solving skills

Salary range

$150K - $200K, depending on experience
